The River Road Porch Sale and Festival

UPDATE 10/5/22 - The post-sale neighborhood gathering has been MOVED (originally planned for Allison park). After the sale, head over to Woodlawn (driveway area of 750 Woodlawn, aka Steve and Venisa's house), for a very informal outdoor get together with some live music by Steve's band, the June Moons (1:30-3:30ish)! Bring your own beverage  and something to sit on. 

Also, many neighbors have had success obtaining City of San Antonio garage sale permits at the HEB in Olmos Park. Please call the number on your flyer and we can assist you with your online registration. 

The River Road Porch sale has been a tradition in River Road for decades, however it has been on hiatus for the past few years. Neighbors gather household “garage sale” items to be sold on their individual lawns. Goods can also be donated to the River Road Neighborhood Association yard, where all proceeds of sold items will benefit the RRNA. This year the RRNA yard will be at the home of Chris Crystal, 677 Woodlawn, at the circle drive. (Items for donation to the RRNA yard must be delivered by 10am so they have any opportunity to be sold. Unsold items left over at the end of the sale in the RRNA yard will be donated/disposed of/or put on Offer Up.)

Don’t have any junk to sell? Invite an artist or musician to play in your front yard! Or, host a quick craft or a yard game for neighbors walking by! Above all, this is a community event so all neighbors are encouraged to get out and about the neighborhood. River Road is special because of the people in it. We look forward to your participation!

2. If you plan to sell goods on your lawn, you must register with the city. Registration is $16. (You do not need to register to participate in the event, just to sell goods.):

1. A member of the River Road Events Committee can come to you to help you register! Please call Chris or Kelsey if you would like to utilize this option.If you plan to distribute food, you must have a food permit.
