Two candidates for San Antonio City Council District 1 will be participating in a meet & greet/question & answer session at the next River Road Neighborhood Association meeting at Lion’s Field Clubhouse on April 19th.

Well, as Roy Schweers put it, the cold and wet weather have sent the Easter bunny packing. There will be no egg hunt today (April 7th). But don’t fret. Roy, who has arranged it all, promises that the bunny will be back next Saturday, April 14, for a postponed hunt at 9:30 a.m. when, hopefully, we can celebrate the return of spring weather. Everything is ready, volunteers are waiting, and there’s no reason to cancel — simply postpone for a week. So — put it back on your calendar and don’t forget to bring the children to a belated egg hunt.

Mimi has donated a few 2007 Fiesta Witte medals/pins as egg prizes for adults, a bonus
for a week postponement!!!!!!! ……if anyone wants to help hide please let Roy know.

The neighborhood’s annual Easter egg hunt will be held on Saturday, April 7, at 9:30 am., as usual by the river on the grassy space between E. Magnolia Ave. and Magnolia Drive. Anyone who wants to help with stuffing/hiding Easter eggs or with refreshments (food/coffee, sodas, whatever in the way of eats, the association pays for them), please contact Roy Schweers or the events chairman, Kyle Martin. We have it on good authority that the Easter bunny has time in his busy schedule to direct the start of the hunt!

Thanks to all who volunteered their time and energy on Saturday March 31st. You helped make the river a bit cleaner where it passes through our neighborhood. We had a big rain the night before, but the event went on as planned.
